CHANGSHA - Six people were killed after a fire engulfed a shed at a pig farm in Central China's Hunan province early Tuesday, local authorities said.
The fire broke out at about 0:40 am at a pig farm in a village in Jiangyong county and was put out 40 minutes later, the county's publicity department said in a statement.
Six male woodcutters living in a shed in the pig farm were found dead at the scene, it said. The dead were migrants from southern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
An initial police investigation found that the fire was likely caused by arson.
A further investigation is still under way.
