More swipes on the cards for Shanghai cabs

Over 2,000 taxies owned by Shanghai Qiangsheng, one of the largest taxi operators in Shanghai, will be equipped with new machines enabling passengers to pay their fares with another three cards by the middle of June, the Shanghai Morning Post reported.
Local residents will be able to use five types of cards to pay for their rides, as the transportation card and Shanghai City Tour Card that can already be used will be joined by as Smart Pass, Quick Pass and Sendpay.
A 1 percent of commission fee will be charged if the fare is more that 100 yuan ($16), while a 1 yuan commission fee will be charged for 100 yuan. Passenger will receive a receipt after the payment is completed.
