XICHANG, Sichuan - China will launch a communications satellite for Pakistan at an "appropriate time" in the coming days, a spokesman said Wednesday.

A spokesman for the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Southwest China's Sichuan province said the satellite, the PAKSAT-1R, will be carried by a Long March-3B carrier rocket.

Both the satellite and rocket are currently in good condition, according to the spokesman.
