Mozambican president kicks off China visit

BEIJING - Mozambican President Armando Emilio Guebuza arrived in Beijing Tuesday afternoon for a state visit to China as a guest of his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao.
According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, during Guebuza's visit, President Hu will hold talks with him, and top Chinese legislator Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao will meet with him respectively.
Guebuza will also travel to Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong province, to attend the opening ceremony of the 26th Universiade, and visit Central China's Henan province.
It is Guebuza's first state visit to China since he assumed office. His week-long tour will conclude on August 15.
