China, Greece pledge to further enhance ties

BEIJING - China and Greece on Thursday pledged to further enhance their bilateral ties.

Li reviewed the cooperation the two countries have conducted to cope with the global financial crisis, and said China has showed its confidence for Greek economy with practical actions.
China and Europe are important trading partners and China believes that the EU is able to overcome the temporary difficulties some EU member countries have encountered, and realize steady growth. This is conducive to the world's economic recovery and development of China-EU economic cooperation, Li said.
He added that China's 12th Five-Year Plan and transformation of economic development mode will generate great potential opportunities. China welcomes Greek companies to invest in China and will encourage Chinese companies to invest in Greece.
Pampoukis said Greece values its friendship with China and will provide favorable condition for Chinese companies to do business there.
Li also vowed to further promote the relationship between China and Europe.
