Volvo CE to expand presence in China

Volvo Construction Equipment, a part of Volvo Group, will expand business and investment in China taking dual-brand strategy, said Martin Weissburg, CEO of Volvo CE, in Shanghai Tuesday at BAUMA 2014.
Volvo CE will increase exports of Shandong Lingong Construction Machinery Co Ltd (SDLG), its subsidiary in China.
The Volvo and SDLG dual-brand strategy enables Volvo CE to serve a wider customer base and to take up the leading market position of excavators and loaders in China.
SDLG will also increase sourcing components from domestic market, said Weissburg.
China has become one of Volvo CE's largest markets, and Volvo CE has developed a series of products to meet specific needs of Chinese clients, he said.
A wide range of financial solutions will be offered to Chinese users to reduce cost of using Volvo CE products and services, said Weissburg.
