China's retail sales up 13% in first 11 months

BEIJING - China's retail sales grew 13 percent year-on-year to 21.13 trillion yuan ($3.48 trillion) in the first eleven months of this year, the National Bureau of Statistics said Tuesday.
Total retail sales in the first eleven months grew 13 percent year on year to 21.13 trillion yuan ($3.48 trillion), the NBS said.
Urban consumption hit 1.82 trillion yuan in November, up 13.6 percent year on year, while rural residents spent 280.8 billion yuan, up 14.8 percent from the same period last year.
Chinese Commerce Minister Gao Hucheng said Monday that China's retail sales will grow by more than 13 percent year on year for 2013.
