Preview of US President Donald Trump's first China visit

china.com.cn | Updated: 2017-11-08 15:05

Today, US President Donald Trump starts a three-day state visit to China. This is his first visit to China since taking office. Nine months after Trump took office, the two countries have established a sound relationship at both levels of state leadership and government departments.

President Trump is the very first foreign leader making a state visit to China after the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Given this special background, what the two sides will discuss arouses enormous public interest.

Despite the twists and turns of the past 40 decades, China-US relations have progressed along a path of win-win cooperation.
