TEHRAN - Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan said Monday that Iran's Army is prepared to increase its presence in "cyber space to counter any cyber attack," the English language satellite Press TV reported.

"Iran's Army like other armies is ready to take part in cyber space and counter any cyber attack," Pourdastan was quoted as saying.

"The instruments required for the presence in cyber space are being prepared by the Defense Industries of the Islamic Republic of Iran," he said.

Iranian officials have voiced an urgency for the country to prepare to counter West's soft war in the cyber space.
