2010 Shanghai World Expo attracted a lot of attention. Many people wished to pay a visit but not everyone got the chance, especially those children from remote villages. However, good fortune does befall sometimes.

Interview: Zhang Zhiyang, P&G Hope School student

My name is Zhang Zhiyang, I come from Kouma village, Henan province. I'm 14 years old. Both of my parents are farmers, my father raises pigs, Mother cultivates land and cooks for the family.

After over 10 hours' journey by bus, I arrived here. This is my first time leaving home and going out, coming to Shanghai, the big city.

I've seen lots of reports about Shanghai Expo on TV and other media. At that time I was thinking, when will I have an opportunity to visit Shanghai Expo?

I took part in "A Beautiful Future World" drawing competition and won the first prize. So I was very excited and happy to get invited to Shanghai by P&G company and China Youth Development Foundation.

I drew three Haibaos, two of them are looking at one blowing bubbles. Inside the bubble were the China Pavilion and the Oriental Pearl TV tower, an aircraft was flying over these buildings to collect rubbish.

When I saw the Expo for the first time, I was shocked, it is so excellent! There's no such beautiful scenery in my hometown. Now I can see these brilliant buildings with my own eyes.

Different from the picture in my mind, these pavilions are all new and unique. It makes me curious. I visited Singapore Pavilion and saw various exotic flowers. At Pavilion of Urban Planet, I saw the beautiful scenery, just like the real one. This afternoon, I also visited the US Pavilion.

I love studying very much. Studying can not only improve our knowledge, but also tells us interesting stories. My aim is to enter a famous university in Beijing or Shanghai.

I want to be a scientist when I grow up, because I love making things and doing studies. I want to be a person like the kindhearted company P&G, and do more to help people.
