Supachai: China should defend its turf

Supachai Panitchpakdi, a native of Thailand, currently serves as the Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. He began the current term on September 1 2009, following his unanimous confirmation by the U.N. General Assembly.

Panitchpakdi made opening remarks at the opening ceremony of the Second World Investment Forum currently being held between Sept 7 and 9 in Xiamen, Fujian Province.

China Daily talked to him to learn his perspectives on China's investment environment.
