Jelena Jankovic: (on game attitude) If you go on court thinking, yeah, I'm going to lose, then you better not even go. Just shake their hand before and finish the match.
Victoria Azarenka: (on her game gets rusty due to the lack of play since the US Open) I don't know. Lack of a lot of things.
Serena Williams: (on her 7-0 winning streaking over Agnieszka Radwanska coming in Wednesday night) Each time is the first time. Each time is a different meaning. You know, tonight was just a new meaning. Obviously you have to keep motivated. You don't want to lose unless if your opponent is playing well, it is what it is, but you always want to have a really good attitude to try to win.
Agnieszka Radwanska: (on if she has ever asked other players advice on how to beat Serena Williams) Actually, not really. We were just actually laughing with Jelena Jankovic that we lost to her a couple of times, and we were just saying I think now is impossible to beat her when she's on fire. And of course we try and try, but, you know, maybe one day is gonna be the day that we can beat her.
Sara Errani: (on WTA including four more doubles teams in the Championship next year) Yeah, but I think they are going to make it also more days, so it will be better. I mean, of course it's tough, but it's in every tournament like that. Many times it's tough, but for me I think is better to be eight teams and also is better if there are more days than now that we are playing all the days.
Angelique Kerber: (on losing to Serena Williams) I think I served very good, but she was returning unbelievable. Actually, she didn't give me a small chance to breathe, and I had, in the whole match, I had actually the feeling that she was she gives me pressure all the time. And I was trying to, you know, to maybe change the rhythm also, but she played everything so good today, so there was no chance to change something.
Petra Kvitova: (on if she wanted to close the match in straight sets) Yeah, finally I play only two sets. Big surprise for you, right? Yeah, I think that to start with the two sets is great against Aga, too. For me it really doesn't matter if I win two or three. So I won. That's it. |

Li Na: (on losing her serving-for-match game when she was up 5-3 in the second set) It's not about the nerves. Of course after you got match point and you lose the point. I think about if I win the point, the match is over. I don't have to run anymore.
