RIO DE JANEIRO - Corinthians' star striker Ronaldo said on Monday that he is prepared to take a paternity test. The announcement comes after the athlete was presented to his alleged five-year-old son, Alex.

Now that the Brazilian Championship has come to an end, Ronaldo admitted that he has more time for his personal life. One such issue regards Alex and his mother who currently resides in Singapore.

The mother of Alex, Brazilian native Michele Umez, supposedly met Ronaldo while the athlete played for Real Madrid CF. The alleged night of conception took place in Japan while the Spanish team was traveling through the country.

The athlete stated that if the paternity test comes up positive that he will assume responsibility. Should Alex and Ronaldo share the same DNA, it will be Ronaldo's fourth child from three different relationships.
