Focus on schools for migrants' kids

Comment on "Boosting migrants' education" (China Daily, Jan 14)

The article should have given more political and culture background. First, some private schools in China are not good at all. They are probably run illegally and the "teachers" that work in them might not even be qualified.

And second, because of the hukou (house registration) system, it is really hard for migrant workers' children to get admission to public schools.

Govt must help children

It's sad that migrant workers' children cannot study in public schools in cities, because the education they provide is better than other schools. The government should take measures to provide migrants' children good education.
