China and the other BRICS economies will play a proactive role to resolve the eurozone debt crisis. But before that the European Union should guarantee a level playing field for all.
It's time the West abandoned the Cold War mentality of blocking and containing China's development and progress, and stopped employing economic and political tools against Chinese companies.
China's economy may be growing at a fast pace but the majority of the Chinese people are still poor compared with their Western counterparts. So China has to strike a balance when considering investing in the debt-ridden eurozone.
Since all investments have risks, China should ensure its citizen's livelihoods first.
