Comment on "Foreign Ministry's microblog draws wide attention" (China Daily, April 19)

The Foreign Ministry's move to communicate directly with the public through microblog is good news. The number of people that have already visited the site shows the public, too, has welcomed this move.

The Foreign Ministry is the first ministry-level department in China to use micrblogs officially. I hope that other ministries and departments follow in its footsteps to communicate directly with the public and heed their opinion, because that will be helpful for the construction of harmonious society.
