Medical ignorance a problem

Comment on "China pledges more efforts to control HIV-AIDS" (China Daily website, Nov 29)

Quite a few Chinese people still discriminate against HIV/AIDS and hepatitis B patients. It is sad because the discrimination is based on their ignorance about how HIV and hepatitis B viruses are transmitted. The authorities and the people should take measures to change the situation.
