Career:

Co-founded Monitor Group, one of the world's leading management consultancies, in 1983.

Company now has 1,500 employees worldwide and opened offices in Hong Kong in 1991, Beijing in 2001 and Shanghai in 2003.

Book: Seven Pillars of Wisdom by T.E. Lawrence; The Great War and Modern Memory by Paul Fussell; and anything by management theory guru Peter Drucker.

Music: Piano Concerto No 2 in C Minor by Sergei Rachmaninoff and works by Frederic Chopin

Food: French haute cuisine
