2 light aircraft collide in C England, 1 killed

LONDON - One man was killed as two light aircraft collided in central England Sunday afternoon, while two others were slightly injured, according to local news report.

The accident happened at about 2 pm in the Great Stretton area of Leicestershire, which was about two hours drive from London.

One of the aircraft contained one person, who was found dead at the scene. Two other men in the second plane suffered minor injuries and received medical treatment.

Cause of the accident and detailed information of the victim were not yet known.

Gartree Road, which was in the vicinity of the spot where the planes landed, has been closed for emergency services, according to a BBC report.
