Bomb found in car in central Moscow

MOSCOW - Police found an explosive device in a car in central Moscow Thursday, law enforcement source told local media.

The bomb, with the power of 400 gram of TNT, was discovered in a Mercedes Benz limousine which was stopped on Kutuzovsky avenue, a road used by Kremlin officials, RIA Novosti news agency cited the source as saying.

The bomb was filled with iron chips and screws, and the driver who was detained had a handgun, the report said.

Local media reported that another explosive device was also found in a car in southwest Moscow Thursday.
