Prince Harry to go Stateside

Britain's Prince Harry is set to visit California.

The 26-year-old army pilot - who is third in line to the throne - will spend three months in the country working on his military aviation skills, including a stint in the Golden State and Arizona, where he will take part in a number of Apache helicopter training courses.

Harry's spokesman Nick Loughran confirmed to The Daily newspaper the prince "will be coming to the States at some point in the next couple of months for a handful of courses ... in parts of Arizona and California" and spend "about two-and-a-half to three months" in the States.

He added: "Once the course finishes ... he'll be appointed to an Apache squadron within the UK."

The announcement comes after the royal was said to have called time on his two-month relationship with lingerie model Florence Brudenell-Bruce - who is known as 'Flee' to friends - earlier this month, partly so he can concentrate on his Apache helicopter training.

A source explained: "Harry has a lot on his mind at the moment. He is concentrating on his Apache helicopter training. After that he's expecting to return to Afghanistan.

"Harry enjoyed spending time with friends over the summer, but he doesn't want to be tied town in a relationship when training, so he called time with Flee."
