James Buckley expecting a son

'Inbetweeners' star James Buckley is expecting a son.

The 24-year-old actor - who plays sex-crazed teenager Jay Cartwright in the big screen version of the TV show - admitted he "can't wait" to become a father for the first time after finding out he and girlfriend Clair Meek are going to have a baby boy.

Speaking at the world premiere of 'The Inbetweeners Movie' at The Vue Cinema in London's Leicester Square tonight (16.08.11), he told BANG Showbiz: "I'm having a little boy. I can't wait for the baby to arrive. It seems like my girlfriend has been pregnant for ages.

"I really can't wait to become a dad."

James - who stars alongside Simon Bird, Joe Thomas and Blake Harrison in the film - revealed the news in June that the Scottish model is expecting his child, explaining the pregnancy is going "brilliantly".

He said: "Clair and I wanted to let everyone know we are having a baby. Chuffed to say it's going brilliantly. All very exciting with 'The Inbetweeners Movie' out in August and baby out soon after that.

"Can't quite believe my luck. Didn't think I had it in me!"

Clair has previously described James as "shy and quiet" and a complete contrast to his cocky 'Inbetweeners' character Jay.

She said: "James could not be more different to Jay. He's quite shy and quiet and very thoughtful.

"James takes care of me. We're not party animals. We're just normal and prefer a night in watching TV."
