John Mayer heckled over treatment of women

John Mayer was upset when he was verbally abused by strangers for his treatment of women.

The 'Gravity' hitmaker was reportedly stunned when he was heckled during an impromptu public press conference about his past behaviour, including discussing his break-up with Jennifer Aniston in an impromptu press conference with paparazzi and calling former girlfriend Jessica Simpson "sexual napalm".

A source said: "Girls came up and yelled at him, saying he was a horrible person. Girls asked how he could treat women the way he did. People would tell him exactly what they thought of him."

The insider revealed the 33-year-old singer was so surprised by the negative reaction he is considering changing his management team.

The insider added to Us Weekly magazine: "John is looking for a new team to manage his image. He wants to change people's perspective on him."

Meanwhile, John, 33, has managed to sell his Los Angeles home after putting it up for sale in December at nearly half a million dollars less than he paid for it.

The singer bought the property in the upscale Pacific Palisades area of the city for a reported $1.75 million in 2006 but has now sold it for just under $1.3 million.
