A group of 15 teachers and students from the Blue Dragon Martial Arts School in Munich, Germany traveled to the Tianjin University of Sport to study the martial arts for 14 days.

During their visit, students will gain professional training on martial art techniques such as using a machete, spear, sword, stick, along with boxing and free combat styles all based on their specialties.

The dean of the martial arts school in Germany, whose surname is Sayles, first visited the Tianjin University of Sport in 1988 and this is his 14th visit to China.

Sayles said he brought his students to Tianjin so they could learn authentic Chinese martial arts and receive guidance from the kung fu master Yuan Xi, who was Sayles' tutor.

Yuan Xi, 62, was a teacher at the Tianjin University of Sport before he retired. During 1980s and 1990s, he was designated to be Sayles' martial arts coach in Germany, which helped Sayles achieve outstanding accomplishments in the field of martial arts.
