Priceless honey colored stones

Honey colored stones are a special kind of jade originating from Shoushan, Fujian Province. This unique stone can only be found in the sump of a rice field and since most of the colors have a yellow honey-like luster, they are generally referred to as Honey colored stone.

Dubbed “the emperor of stones”, honey colored stones are a superb material for seal carving, and average stones are worth RMB 5000 to 25000 per gram, though precious ones can reach RMB 50000 to 60000 per gram.

The qualities of these stones vary with their color, grade, shape and craft.

The colors of honey colored stones include orange-red, orange-yellow, golden yellow, loquat-yellow, osmanthus-yellow and chestnut-yellow and those with an extremely vivid color are rare to obtain.
