Bus plunge kills 11 in Xinjiang

URUMQI - At least 11 people died after a bus carrying 35 people plunged into a valley Tuesday afternoon in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, according to local traffic police.
The accident occurred around 5:15 pm when the bus was travelling to a tourist spot near the city of Changji, said Shi Rui, a traffic police officer.
"The injured have been rushed to hospital," Shi said.
