Medical worker committed to Tibet project

Zeng Zhongwen, left, head of the Tongtianhe health center at the Qinghai-Tibet electricity network project station, checks the blood oxygen content for workers at Golmud, Northwest China’s Qinghai province, on Sept 12, 2011. At an altitude of 4,700 meters, Zeng works 14 hours a day in his small medical service room of less than 10 square meters, as he is responsible for the health care of all the electric power workers. With an investment of more than 16 billion yuan, the project will lay 1,038 kilometers long electricity transmission cables, connecting the power grid of the Tibetan plateau with other parts of China. He said he was proud to be part of such a large project of China. [Photo/Xinhua]
