Daredevil farmer wears cloak of bees

Bees swarm around Zhang Xinglun, a 59-year-old bee farmer, as he prepares for a bee performance in Bishan, Chongqing municipality, on June 22, 2011. First, Zhang spreads honey on his body to lure the bees and coal oil on his face to avoid stings. Zhang’s brother then ties a cage containing the queen bee to Zhang and pours four boxes of bees on his body. After half an hour, Zhang’s body is fully engulfed by the bees, but after quickly shaking his body, all the bees fly away. Zhang said the bee "coat" is hot, because the temperature of bees is 38 C. Zhang has kept bees for thirty years and he began experimenting with wearing bees more than ten years ago. [Photo/CFP]
