Chemical plant blast kills 3 in E China

JINAN - Three people were killed and eight were injured in a chemical plant blast Saturday evening in east China's Zibo City, Shandong province, the city government said on Sunday.

The blast occurred at 9:31 p.m. Saturday in a chemical plant of Shandong Baoyuan Chemical Co.,Ltd.. Two were dead at the scene and one died later in hospital.

The cause of the blast is under investigation.
