Legless man says goodbye to pain

Peng Shuilin, who lost the lower half of his body in an accident in 2004, rests in a hospital ward in Beijing, accompanied by his wife, Zhou Aiqun, on May 13, 2011. Peng, 50, was a farmer before the accident, which crushed half of his body and shortened his height to 78 centimeters. Although he survived the accident, he has been living with severe pain. Now, after surgery, 90 percent of his pain has eased, and he can continue to run his grocery store in Changsha, Central China’s Hunan province. [Photo/Xinhua]
