The art of learning from Lei Feng
A teacher guides a student to make a paper-cut with figure of Lei Feng, who is honored on March 5 annually, at Bozhou Special Educational School, Central China's An'hui province on March 2. Day of Lei Feng (1940 to 1962) is in honor of the soldier of the People's Liberation Army in China, who is seen as a cultural icon symbolizing unselfishness, modesty, and dedication to the country. Chairman Mao made a posthumous "Learn from Comrade Lei Feng" campaign after Feng’s death to commemorate his dedication, and made Mar 5 as the Day of Lei Feng to encourage the country's youth to learn from him.[Photo/Xinhua]
