Most people think paper is just for writing, printing and wiping, but the medium was put to far more imaginative use at a "Paper story town" in Shanghai. Chairs, tables, children's slides, dining utensils and even a hotpot made of paper were on display in the magical wonderland created from the material.

"Paper story town" displays a wide range of products including lamp shades, handmade books, pencil boxes, models and toys, all made from paper. For example, the paper lamp shade combines heat resistant paper with a sleek modern design to fuse light with paper and give a unique visual experience.

At the DIY zone, staff will show kids how to make paper crafts, using corrugated paper to make woodland critters, lamp shades or finishing a 1200-piece jigsaw puzzle. Paper craft can stimulate children's imagination and show them that fun comes from doing it yourself, regardless of the price tag.

Through innovative design and creation, "Paper story town" shows how paper can be the building block of a wonderful world, limited only by your imagination.
