Irish firms get close look at Pudong area
Businesses in China has organized a forum about the Pudong Free Trade Zone, along with the Pudong Committee of Commerce, Pudong Software Park, and Pudong Software Outsourcing Centre. The event is taking place on Monday in the conference room at the Guinness Enterprise Centre in Dublin, Ireland, and is aimed at businesses involved in the business services, cloud computing, software, financial services, and internet sectors.
Shenyang delegation seeking financial ties
A roundtable meeting between companies that are members of the China-Britain Business Council and a delegation from the Shenyang municipal government is set for Monday at Portland House, in Bressenden Place, London. The delegation is seeking financial cooperation between Shenyang and British companies. Delegates from China include Zhao Zhongbin, vice-mayor of Shenyang; NaNa, deputy director of the Shenyang financial work office; and Xiang Hongfeng, deputy director of the Shenyang Financial and Commercial Development Zone.
Economy's Latin America impact examined
The London School of Economics is hosting a public discussion about the likely impact Latin America will feel following China's reduced demand for raw materials. Sustainable Development or Exploitation: Lessons from China in Latin America will be held on Wednesday in Clement House at 99 Aldwych, London. Alvaro Mendez, a researcher and the co-founder of the LSE's Global South Unit, will chair the discussion.
