Themed "The Energy of Future", the Astana 2017 Expo will demonstrate the development and achievements of new energy and alternative energy sources, said an official with the organizer from Kazakhstan in Beijing.
The World's Specialized Exhibition will be held from June 10 to Sept 10, 2017, in Astana, the new capital of Kazakhstan. About 100 member-countries and 10 international organizations will attend the expo. China has confirmed to attend the expo to introduce the country's achievements and prospects for utilization of renewable energy sources.
The expo will also provide a good platform for the two countries to enforce their friendship and promote economic cooperation, the organizers said.
Year 2017 is also called "The Chinese Travel Year of Kazakhstan". The Kazakhstan embassy in Beijing held a seminar to welcome representatives and travel agencies from both counties to introduce Kazakhstan's visa policies for tour groups from China. Services such as visa application interviews, and reducing the visa application times can be provided to Chinese tour groups.
The organizers said Chinese tourists can have a variety of travel experiences in Kazakhstan, such as eco-friendly travels and alpine skiing.
Kazakhstan has a diverse landscape. In the northern part of the country, tourists can experience beautiful scenery and in the south, the deserts. Its former capital is Almaty, the new one is Astana.
