Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang paid his first official visit to China.
President Xi and his counterpart vowed to prevent disputes from derailing ties and a fishery emergency hotline was established to handle disputes. The two leaders also witnessed the signing of a series of agreements in areas including defense, the economy and public diplomacy.
