Chinese VP to attend Singapore's National Day celebrations

BEIJING - Chinese Vice-President Li Yuanchao will visit Singapore from Aug 8 to 10 as a special envoy of President Xi Jinping, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang on Monday.
During his visit, Li will attend celebrations for the country's 50th year of independence.
