Myanmar private airline to launch 1st foreign flight in August

YANGON - Myanmar private airline, Air Kanbawza will launch its first foreign flight to Thailand's Chiang Mai on August 1, sources with the airline said Monday.
As part of its plan to expand its local and foreign flights, the airline has purchased nine aircraft including five ATR 72-500 and four ATR 72-600.
At present, the airline only runs domestic flights.
There is a total of 24 international airlines flying Myanmar while the domestic private airlines in operation in Myanmar come to eight.
