NEW DELHI - An Indian Air Force's fighter jet SU-30 MKI crashed in the northeastern Indian state of Assam Tuesday, a senior police official said.
However, both the pilots ejected safely, he said, on condition of anonymity.
"The crash happened moments after the aircraft took off from an Indian Air Force base in the state's Tejpur district," the official said.
A probe has been launched into the incident, he added.
