Shooting kills eight in eastern Czech town

PRAGUE - Eight people were killed in a shooting in an eastern Czech town on Tuesday, news agency CTK reported.
The agency quoted Interior Minister Milan Chovanec as saying he had been informed about eight victims. The suspected shooter was also dead, the report said.
A police spokesman confirmed there was shooting in the town of Uhersky Brod, 300 km (180 miles) southeast of Prague, but declined to comment on any victims. A spokesman for the Interior Ministry was not immediately available for comment.
