5.6-magnitude hits suburbs of Aglerian capital

ALGIERS - An earthquake of 5.6 magnitude hit 11 km northwest of Bordj el Kiffan on the suburbs of Algeria's capital Algiers early Friday, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The quake, with a depth of 10 km, was felt in the capital while power was cut off in some districts of the city. But so far, there have been no reports of casualties or property damage.
