BANGKOK - Thailand has invited foreign diplomats in the county to observe on Monday what measures will be taken to handle a massive anti-government rally, also known as "the final battle".
The diplomats will see for themselves that the government will adopt peaceful measures that do not involve arms and live up to international standards, the National Security Council chief Paradorn Pattanatabutr said.
The diplomats will meet at Foreign Ministry before heading to the Government House, where the massive rally is expected to take place Monday morning.
Domestic and foreign media have also been invited, according to Paradorn.
Reportedly diplomats from about 60 countries have been invited, and about 30 countries have accepted.
