JOHANNESBURG - Former South African President Nelson Mandela, who was hospitalised for nearly three months earlier this year with a lung infection, remains in stable but critical condition, the government said on Monday.
"The health of the former President remains much the same ... which is stable but critical," the government said in a statement, adding that the 95-year-old continued to respond to treatment.
