Marketing Investment Indonesia (MII), held in Beijing on July 5, 2013, was an integrated investment promotion jointly organized by the Indonesian Coordinating Investment Agency, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Beijing and China Development Bank. It aimed to enhance Indonesia's image as a promising investment destination and it was also designed to attract Chinese investors to further explore Indonesia's market particularly in sectors such as energy, transportation, telecommunication, tourism and mining.

"We welcome more investments from China in the future," said Imron Cotan, Indonesian ambassador to China, during the investment promotion. "Investments from China to Indonesia can be further boosted."

At the Business Forum, some notable resources from the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Ministry of National Development Planning, Ministry of Industry and Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources gave firsthand information on Indonesia's recent economic development and government's policies in various sectors which are highly relevant to Chinese investors.

One-on-one meeting served as a perfect opportunity for Indonesian officials and Chinese investors to converse and discuss directly the business opportunities in Indonesia.

In addition, high rank officials from Aceh Province and Central Kalimantan presented their potential projects which are ready to be tapped by Chinese investors.
