Seoul - The Republic of Korea's government on Friday accepted the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's talks offer on holding working-level contacts on Sunday, Yonhap News Agency reported.
The government proposed to have a working-level talk with the DPRK at 10 am on Sunday in Panmunjom instead through the inter-Korean communication channel, which was reopened earlier in the day.
The talks will include the normalization of the operation in the Kaesong Industrial Zone and the resumption of tours of Mt. Kumgang.
The ROK's Unification Minister Ryoo Kihl-jae sent the proposal to the DPRK around 4:05 pm local time after confirming the Panmunjom Red Cross liaison channel was reopened by the DPRK, reported Yonhap.
The reply came hours after the DPRK proposed holding working-level contacts with the ROK in Kaesong on Sunday earlier in the day.
