VLADIVOSTOK - A unit of Russian Pacific Fleet ships left Vladivostok on Monday for a "Cruise of Memory."
The unit includes the missile destroyer Bystry, large landing ship Oslyablya and sea tug Kalar.
The so-called "Cruise of Memory" is dedicated to three historical events: the Victory Day, the 282nd anniversary of Russia's Pacific Fleet and the 200th anniversary of the birth of Russian explorer Admiral Gennady Nevelskoy.
The ships will visit Sakhalin, the Kuril Islands, the Kamchatka Peninsula and Okhotsk during the cruise.
