TEHRAN - Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) test-fired a short-range anti-ship missile on Sunday, Press TV reported.

The domestically designed and developed Zafar (Triumph) missile, which can destroy small-and mid-sized targets, was test-fired in the southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas, said the report.

During the test, the missile, mounted onto light speed boat, accurately detected the designated targets and destroyed them, according to Press TV.

On Saturday, the IRGC tested a shoulder-launched anti-aircraft gun, which can be used to shoot down helicopter.

The 20-mm caliber weapon can target helicopters at a distance of 1,400 meters (4,593 feet).

Concurrent with the test of military equipments, the IRGC continued its 3-day military drill which started in the southeast of Iran on Saturday.
