Philippines sends sea issue to tribunal

MANILA -- The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced Tuesday that the country had brought the South China issue to the Arbitral Tribunal under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
Philippine Foreign Secretary Del Rosario said at a press conference on Tuesday that the DFA handed a note verbale to Chinese ambassador Ma Keqing Tuesday afternoon.
