2 killed, 15 injured in C. Philippine road mishap

MANILA - Two women were killed and 15 others injured when their public utility jeepney hit a parked dump truck in central Philippine province of Cebu on Friday night, local police said Saturday.
The incident took place at Juan Climaco Sr village in Toledo city at around 7:00 pm Friday. The driver of the truck reportedly parked his vehicle at the roadside to eat dinner when the jeepney crashed into it,said Cebu provincial Police Office.
The victims were brought to nearby Toledo District Hospital, but two of them were pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician, police said, adding that further investigation has been under way to determine the cause of the incident.
