VIENNA - Experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Iran will meet on Dec 13 in Tehran for a new round of negotiations, an IAEA spokesman said Friday.

The IAEA hopes to reach an agreement with Iranian authorities that would allow inspectors to investigate possible military aspects to Iran's nuclear program, the Austrian Press Agency reported.

The most recent talks between the two parties were held in August, where no agreement could be reached.

Iran claims its intentions are peaceful, although Israel has repeatedly threatened a military strike should Tehran continue its nuclear program.

The Iranian leadership has in turn warned against a violation of its airspace, with Brigadier General Masoud Jazayeri saying Iran's armed forces would act decisively in such an instance, the Fars News Agency reported earlier in the day.
