1 killed, 5 wounded in New Orleans shooting

HOUSTON - One person was killed and five others were wounded in a shooting Tuesday in New Orleans, Louisiana, local media reported.
The shooting happened shortly before 7:00 pm local time (2400 GMT), according to local TV channel FOX8.
Five of the victims, aged between 18 and the late 20's, were rushed to local hospitals and one of the victims died, police said.
Two groups of people were involved in an altercation at that location when someone began firing at least one weapon. It's not yet clear how many people opened fire, according to the report.
Police had not identified any suspects and the investigation was in its early stage, the report said.
